Ramsons is envisioned as a contemporary textile showroom that celebrates tradition through a refined, modern retail experience. The design aims to elevate fabric shopping into an immersive journey—balancing cultural richness, spatial clarity, and a premium customer experience.

Design Concept

The concept is rooted in modern luxury with traditional resonance. Clean architectural volumes are softened with warm materials, curated lighting, and rich textile displays. A central green court acts as the emotional heart of the space, while gold accents, layered ceilings, and crafted details evoke heritage without visual heaviness.

Spatial Planning & Zoning

1. Arrival & Double-Height Entrance Zone

The entrance is designed as a grand, welcoming threshold with full-height glazing that visually connects the interior to the street. The double-height volume immediately establishes openness, luxury, and brand confidence.

2. Central Courtyard & Green Spine

A landscaped indoor tree planter forms the spatial and visual anchor of the showroom. This green core organizes circulation, introduces biophilic calm, and acts as a pause point within the retail journey, offering visual relief amid rich textile displays.

3. Reception & Billing Zone

Located strategically near the entrance yet visually integrated into the overall layout, the billing counter is designed with clean lines and subtle branding. Vertical elements and warm lighting ensure visibility without overpowering the space.

4. Primary Display Zone – Textile Experience Floor

The main showroom floor features curated fabric display racks arranged symmetrically around a central feature platform. Elevated display tables and hanging frames allow customers to experience textiles up close, emphasizing texture, color, and craftsmanship.

5. Feature Display & Highlight Island

A centrally positioned raised platform is used for showcasing premium collections, seasonal highlights, or mannequins. Integrated underlighting and framed lighting elements draw attention while maintaining spatial balance.

6. Peripheral Wall Display & Storage Zone

Full-height shelving units line the perimeter walls, combining open display and concealed storage. This ensures maximum product visibility while maintaining a clean, organized retail environment.

7. Customer Seating & Consultation Zone

Comfortable seating areas are integrated along display counters, allowing customers to sit, browse, and consult comfortably. These zones encourage longer dwell time and a relaxed shopping experience.

8. Vertical Circulation & Staircase Zone

The staircase is treated as an architectural element rather than a purely functional feature. Warm wood finishes, soft lighting, and open visibility connect upper levels seamlessly while maintaining continuity in design language.

9. Transition & Circulation Spine

Clear circulation paths flow organically around the central court, ensuring intuitive movement across zones. Floor inlays and lighting cues subtly guide customers through the showroom without visual signage clutter.
